December at Real Logistics – an intense time of industry events

December 2022 was a time of intensive work related to the hot transport period, but also we did not run out of time to be part of many meaningful events.

Over the last month, a lot has happened. We participated in 3 significant industry events, a charity Christmas activity, supported our athletes and organized a Christmas meeting for all employees.

Intermodal in Poland North-South in Szczecin

The conference in Szczecin was our first December goal. On 30.11-1.12 at the Culture Center of the Euroregion CKE Stara Rzeźnia on Łasztownia Island, we met with specialists, experts, and practitioners from the logistics, transport, and forwarding industries. The main topic discussed at this year’s conference was the modifications in global supply chains resulting from the energy crisis, the war in Ukraine, and the Covid-19 pandemic. During the discussion, specialists also analyzed the development prospects for intermodal transport on the North-South corridors.

Our specialist, Ewelina Fijałkowska, had the opportunity to participate in the lectures and discussions on the following topics:

• Identification of crucial barriers and limitations in the operations of TSL companies
• Solutions in logistics activities
• Conditions for conducting logistics activities in the Covid-19 pandemic
• Legal regulations in maritime transport

In 2022, the TSL industry across Europe faced many difficulties resulting from the new economic and geopolitical situation. Experts’ discussion on problems related to the prioritization of coal transport by rail, public administration challenges, and competition from Ukrainian carriers contributed to the arising of new, more up-to-date, and refined solutions.

European Silk Road Summit 2022 in Duisburg

This year’s edition took place on December 7-8 in Duisburg, Germany. The topics of the debates concerned mainly Eurasian transport, routes of the New Silk Road, and challenges for rail freight in the changing geopolitical situation.
We got involved in the conference through the presence of our 5-person representation and setting a well-thought-out booth. Also, we participated in the organization. We were the Bronze and Substantive Partner of the China-Europe groupage transport area.

The European Silk Road Summit is an exceptionally significant event in the TSL industry. Over 300 world-class specialists took part in the 6th edition of the event. Topics discussed:

• Current situation and prospects for the development of the New Silk Road;
• Development of Duisport’s Eurasian connections;
• The role of rail freight in business location decisions in Europe;
• Rail Freight: development of the Sino-Europe Market;
• Future challenges;
• The volume of railway shipments and the prospects for the routes of the New Silk Road in the new geopolitical situation;
•  In-depth, technical analysis of relevant aspects related to Eurasian transport;

Gala of the Golden 100 in Opole

The Golden 100 is a rating of the largest and most successful companies in the Opolskie province. The gala took place on December 12 in the hall of the Opole University of Technology, whose employees are the creators of the rankings, headed by Professor Łukasz Mach. We were a proud Supporting Partner of this year’s event.

In addition to industry events, we also get involved in the charity Christmas campaign “Package for the Kid”. Thanks to the commitment of our employees, we supported the Care Center in Jaszkotle and delivered dreamed-of gifts to kids.

In December, we also organized a corporate Christmas party for employees to thank them for their work throughout the year. We believe that work should also be fun, and a close-knit team is the basis for good further work.
